PRE-SCHOOL  provides a time of ‘Learning through Experience’, therefore everything we do in this phase is classified as learning. Love and affection are given here in many forms and limitless amounts. We believe that our children are the most important part of our school and their days here are planned around individual needs for growth – emotionally, physically, socially, intellectually and spiritually.

In our JUNIOR PREPARATORY phase emphasis is placed on the acquisition of basic skills in numeracy and literacy.  Teaching methods become more formal and children experience a noticeable division in classroom timetables.  This requires self-discipline and organisational skills which are taught.  The atmosphere is friendly, quiet and stimulating and a climate of nurturing is very evident in our school.

In the SENIOR PREPARATORY phase we have been careful to weave into our curriculum the strengths of traditional and proven teaching methods to ensure the perpetuation of high standards along with the positive aspects of OBE.  In so doing so, we remain committed to preparing our learners to work towards meeting the challenges of nation building and the needs of our country.

In the JUNIOR COLLEGE we bring together the Grade 7, 8 and 9 learners in a logical peer group.   This facilitates a dynamic learner-centred environment focussing on experiential learning that captures the vigour and enthusiasm of the adolescent.  Learners are encouraged to develop not only their academic potential, but also, sporting, cultural, social responsibility and leadership qualities.  Learning opportunities in a specialist environment ensure that learners gain not only the knowledge, skills and values relevant to their community and country, but also the necessary skills and academic rigour to move with confidence into the final phase of schooling.

In the SENIOR COLLEGE we seek to promote the academic development of learners and also their personal development.  At the end of Grade 12 learners write the Independent Examination Board’s senior certificate exam.  High academic standards and wide involvement in the co-curricular programme reflect our belief in the idea of education in the broadest sense.  We also believe that we must prepare our learners for the modern world.  It is vital, also, to give them knowledge and understanding of the ‘real’ world, and important choices that will determine their career values and lifestyle as adults.
