ACCEPTANCE TO CORNWALL HILL COLLEGE
Admission to Cornwall Hill College is not automatic. Learners must apply for admission and are subject to a selection process that may invole interviews, background checks and admission tests. Terms and conditions must be signed by parents/guardians before a learner is admitted to the school.
ACCEPTANCE INTO CORNWALL HILL PRE - SCHOOL - Confirmation will be given on receipt of application for the following spaces in the Pre-School for each year of entry: Grade 000 = 30 Grade 00 = 20 Grade 0 = 20
- Once the above-mentioned places are filled, all further applications go onto a waiting list. Should a notice of withdrawal be received from a confirmed applicant, the space will be awarded to the next person on the waiting list according to date of receipt of Application for Admission.
ACCEPTANCE INTO CORNWALL HILL PREPARATORY SCHOOL AND COLLEGE - Confirmation for places in Grade 1 will be done on 31 March in the year prior to date of entry, subject to a school readiness test conducted in the October of that year. Preference will be given to siblings of Cornwall Hill College learners and thereafter places will be awarded according to date of receipt of Application for Admission.
- Applicants enrolled for Grades 2 to 12 will be invited to sit placement tests and spaces will be awarded subject to availability.
PLEASE NOTE: - Places in the Pre-School are awarded solely according to date of Application for Admission and preference is not given to siblings of learners in the College.
- Once a place is offered in Cornwall Hill College, the child is removed from the Waiting List.
- Should a later date of admission be requested once a place has been confirmed, the following will apply:
- Change of date of entry must be requested in writing.
- Confirming deposit, if paid, will be forfeited.
- A new application form must be completed and will be treated as a new application, subject to the selection process as listed above .
- The onus is on the parent to notify the College of any change of address or telephone numbers.
- Phase Heads will control all applications - acceptances in their respective phases.
